How can a selection of doctoral theses be brought to the wide public, exciting to consume and understandable for all? The research work of 14 PhD candidates and two postdocs in the field of Archeology and Ethnology from the group »Value & Equivalent« at the Goethe University in Frankfurt was presented at the Museum Giersch — how did the Romans hoard their money without ATMs, how did the Gods live and die in Mesopotamia and what are the differences in dealing with death in Ghana compared to here in Germany?

On the basis of 300 objects, pictures and photographs from museums in Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Stuttgart as well as from collections of the Goethe University, the subjects of study were vividly visualized. Various media, audio stations and interview–videos, specially produced for the exhibition, gave an insight into current questions.
